07:20 in the morning—start with a real-life test by doing the actual actions. After you pull open the curtains, if you’re only going to sit inside and watch the port, then Griffinbay Ocean and Ocean2Heaven’s standard Sea View are the fair first round. If you open the door and go out every morning, at sunset, or before bed, then it’s the second round: Ocean2Heaven Sea View → Balcony Sea View. Don’t start by comparing Griffinbay as an entry-level Ocean to Ocean2Heaven Family Balcony—what you end up comparing is actually two different product tiers.

Narrow the answer in 30 seconds
  • Only need to watch the port from inside the room:A direct comparison of Griffinbay Ocean versus Ocean2Heaven’s standard Sea View.
  • You go out every day morning and night:That’s when Ocean2Heaven Balcony Sea View’s weighting becomes noticeably higher.
  • Balcony is only for one photo:First check the actual room differences—no automatic upgrade.
  • For 3–4 people:Lock in the number of beds and the room size first; at this point, Balcony is often bundled with Space Premium.
  • You come back late and only sleep:Both Sea-view Premium options are recalculated again.

If most of the five options are “No,” then the Balcony is very likely just a pretty photo on the booking page. Only when your answers are clear enough that you have two fixed times every day does it start to become a real accommodation feature.

Seeing the port is one thing; “using the port view” is another.

SEE|Window View

Inside the room for viewing, taking photos, and resting—no need to face outdoor temperatures, rain, or wind directly. For late returners, winter stays, or anyone who simply doesn’t sit on the balcony, this is already enough to fully meet the Ocean View requirement.

STEP OUT|Balcony View

One extra action: open the door and step outside. What you’re buying is a brief outdoor stay—air, sounds, and a more direct touch with the harbor—rather than “more sea.”

So the real added value of Balcony is View Consumption Mode. More ways don’t automatically mean it’s better for everyone. If you’re afraid of wind, don’t like outdoor noises, you’re traveling with young children and need extra attention to the door and railing, or you just never plan to sit outside, you may be better off keeping the room difference for the room itself.

From the window and Balcony Door in the Nampo Ocean2Heaven ocean-view room, you can directly see Namp’o Port.

A fair comparison has two steps: A vs B, then B vs B+.

Griffinbay’s official lineup still lists Standard Double Ocean, Deluxe Double Ocean, Deluxe Twin Ocean, and multiple Ocean Suites under its Ocean View product line. On the booking page, the current Ocean View Standard Double is 18㎡, one Double, and floors 14–18; the Ocean View Deluxe Double is about 24㎡. So Griffinbay’s own room categories do have differences, and you shouldn’t treat only the lowest Ocean price as representative of the whole hotel.

Ocean2Heaven’s product tiering is better handled as the second step. The Ocean View Queen currently listed on the booking page is 21㎡, on floors 7, with one Queen bed; the Ocean View Balcony Queen is 25㎡, on floors 9–10, with one Queen bed. Both room types are ocean-view, but the latter isn’t just a balcony—you also get changes in area and floor level.

The most important question: Can I price the Balcony separately?

Answer: This set of Doubles is hard to separate right now. When Ocean2Heaven upgrades from a regular Ocean View Queen to a Balcony Queen, the booking page’s current information shows 21㎡ → 25㎡, 7F → 9–10F, as well as a Balcony. In other words, the total room difference you see isn’t a clean single “balcony fee.”

On NOL’s recent room pages, you can see Ocean Double and Balcony Double appearing in price tiers like 169,000/199,000 KRW, and on some dates Balcony Double may also become 179,000 KRW. This clearly shows that room prices change with dates and inventory. More importantly, even if on a given day the two options happen to differ by 30,000 KRW, you still can’t label the entire 30,000 as a Balcony Premium, because the room itself also differs in size, floor level, and product category.

Can all room-price differences be counted as the cost of the balcony? No.Upgrades also include other room-type differences.

Weather only adjusts the Balcony Value; it won’t choose the hotel for you.

Balcony is affected more by outdoor conditions than a Window View. In spring and autumn in Busan, it’s easier to get days that are suitable for short outdoor stays; in summer, the humidity and heat, as well as rainy days, and in winter, low temperatures or stronger winds can turn what you thought would be a half-hour on the balcony into only a few minutes outside. This isn’t saying Griffinbay directly wins over you in winter—it’s about lowering the number of balcony uses you entered just earlier.

On the other hand, if you’re willing to go out and take a photo of the harbor view every morning and evening even in cold weather for about five minutes, then the Balcony still has value. KRINAVI doesn’t set a fixed number of “times per night before it’s worth it” for you. You just need to divide the current room-price difference by your own actual usage count, then ask again: are you paying for space that you’ll actually use?

After 3 to 4 people, the Balcony is already bundled with the Space Premium

The conclusion for two adults can’t be applied directly to a family. Griffinbay’s Ocean View Deluxe Twin is currently Double plus Single, about 24㎡—suitable for handling the 3-person bed setup first. When moving to a Suite, the booking page also lists Suite Twin/Family Suite types with two Doubles.

Ocean2Heaven’s multi-person Balcony immediately jumps to another space category. The current Ocean View Balcony Twin has two Queens, about 43㎡; the Balcony Family has two Queens, about 53㎡. At this point, the extra money buys you more beds, a larger room, and the Balcony all at once—so it’s no longer a single question of “whether you need a balcony.”

Spa can affect the final answer, but you can’t get bonus points just because you can see the name.

Ocean2Heaven currently still lists Sauna, Spa, and Gym on the booking page. But “facilities exist” doesn’t mean the rate plan you’re looking at now includes the right to use them. Different OTAs, room types, or packages don’t present costs and entitlements in exactly the same way. So if Spa is the main reason you chose it, you need to confirm before paying whether it’s included that day, whether there’s an additional charge, the usage times, and the maintenance arrangements. Until it’s confirmed, this article doesn’t treat Spa as an automatic plus for Ocean2Heaven.

Griffinbay, on the other hand, has more practical shared facilities like a Laundry Room, etc., but this article likewise won’t make that the main focus. You’re making the final payment decision between two Zagači harbor-view products—the core is still how the View will be used.

Location matters, but in this shortlist it’s not a Winner Axis.

the booking page currently lists Griffinbay as about 340 meters from Nampo Station and about 480 meters from Zagači Station. Ocean2Heaven is less than 100 meters from Zagači Station and about 740 meters from Nampo Station. If you prefer Zagači Station, Ocean2Heaven is more direct; if you prefer the Nampo direction, Griffinbay is closer.

But if you’ve already decided to stay in the Nampo/Zagači harbor area and you’ve already accepted the Working Harbor View, these few hundred meters shouldn’t turn the article back into a neighborhood comparison. If you actually don’t want to face the market and harbor-life atmosphere, then just move on from this.Nampo-dong hotel candidatesRe-select Foret, Stanford, Aventree, etc., rather than forcing yourself to find a Winner between just these two.

Before payment, do only these two rounds—don’t open six room types at once.

Stage 1:With a fixed same check-in date, 2 adults, and similar cancellation conditions, first compare Griffinbay Ocean View Standard/Deluxe Double and Ocean2Heaven Ocean View Queen. This round only judges the Window Sea View.

Stage 2:Only compare the Ocean View Queen and Ocean View Balcony Queen inside Ocean2Heaven after you’re certain you’ll actually head out onto the Balcony. Put the full room name, size, floor, breakfast / Spa benefits, taxes & fees, and cancellation terms all into one table—don’t just look at the total price at the very bottom.

This CTA is only suitable for people who have already determined that “Window Ocean is enough.” It makes no claim that any platform is fixed to offer the lowest price.

This CTA only makes sense after you confirm that the Balcony will truly be used. Stay22 is only meant as a guide to named OTAs; don’t use the lowest-price deal to judge whether the Balcony is worthwhile, because the lowest price may not be for a Sea View / Balcony.

Lock the Balcony Door, then run a final test

Let’s say you’ve booked an Ocean2Heaven Balcony Room, but you can’t open the Balcony Door all night. Would you still be willing to pay the same room-difference for it?

If the answer is Yes, what truly draws you in may also include a larger room, a higher floor, the bed type, or the overall room type—Balcony isn’t the only reason. At this point, treat it as a complete upgrade package, rather than asking “how much is one balcony worth.”

If the answer is No, go back to the first Balcony Usage Test: how many times will you actually open the door? Every morning and night will be crystal clear—only then does the Balcony, as pictured, become the accommodation space you pay for. If the answer is only “maybe once,” don’t buy a space you’ll barely use for your future self.

Both Griffinbay and Ocean2Heaven can put Hanja-gakki Port into the room. The extra money you may need to pay isn’t for the sea itself—it’s whether you need to upgrade “something you can see” into “somewhere you can actually go out to.”

Room types, prices, floors, Spa benefits, maintenance arrangements, and cancellation terms may all change. Before paying, please rely on your check-in date, the full Room Name, and the actual Rate Plan. In the past, Griffinbay’s different room-type lists have shown inconsistencies in the “View” label, so Ocean / City View should be confirmed again on the payment page.
