In the same L7 Haeundae, two people returning to the hotel at 8:30 p.m. could end up buying completely different things. A goes straight back to the room, showers, scrolls on their phone, and sleeps; B drops off their things, then goes to the pool, grabs something to eat, stays around in the hotel, and is also willing to leave breakfast at the hotel the next day.If your stay always stays inside the room door, don’t let the prettiest photos of the property’s public areas on the booking page persuade you first.

This Purchase Gate has only one question
  • Back only to the room:Decide using Room, Bathroom, Location, Price; reset public facilities to zero first.
  • You’ll leave the room too:Then put shared experiences like the Rooftop Pool, Floating Breakfast, Energy Studio, Laundry, Business Corner, and others back into the value table.
Value decision chart for staying inside vs. outside the room door at L7 Haeundae
A KRINAVI-made decision chart: first, look at which side of the room door thelodging value you’ll truly use is concentrated.

Delete all the public-area photos—will you still choose L7?

Do a brutally effective test first: delete from the booking page the Rooftop Pool, Poolside Lounge, restaurants, lobby, gym, and all lifestyle photos, leaving only the room, bathroom, location, and price. Would you still choose L7 Haeundae? If the answer is Yes, then the room product itself holds up; if the answer suddenly turns into No, then what really attracted you isn’t the Room, but Shared / Lifestyle Experience。

Accommodation valueInside the room doorOutside the room doorWhat you need to ask yourself
Room / Bathroom / Sleep✓Even if you don’t use the facilities at all, is this room still worth it?
Town / Side Ocean / Ocean View✓Will you stay in the room during the times when there’s a view?
Rooftop Pool✓Do your check-in dates, package, and your planned time staying at the hotel really allow you to use it?
Floating Breakfast✓In the morning, will you stay on site—or will you head out as soon as you wake up?
Energy Studio / Laundry✓Will you actually work out and do laundry—or are you just counting “having facilities” as a bonus?
Business Corner / staying in the hotel✓Do you need a space outside your room to work or handle things?

This table isn’t meant to fill every cell. It’s just to keep you from misjudging “the hotel has it” as “I’ll use it.” This is also what L7 and a simple, comfortable, lower-priced Haeundae hotel truly need to be compared on.

The value of the pool only exists when “the usable time slots ∩ you are actually at the hotel.”

L7 Haeundae is the last place to brush things off with “there’s a pool, so it’s a plus.” Lotte’s official FAQ confirms for now: the 19th-floor Rooftop Pool is a year-round warm-water pool, available only to guests staying overnight. In the off-season, all eligible guests can use it for free; in July and August, it’s limited to guests who meet the Pool Package requirements. In the off-season there are 3 time slots, and in the peak season there are 4; the last session is for adults only. There is scheduled routine maintenance on the second Monday of every month. The pool has no separate changing room or shower area; the official requirement is to change into your swimwear in your room first and put on your bathrobe before heading to the pool, and you must wear a swim cap or a baseball cap while swimming.

For more specific dates and time slots in 2026, the the booking page listing currently shows: in peak season, July 17 to August 31, 08:30–11:00, 12:00–14:30, 15:00–19:00, and 19:30–22:00; the last session is limited to guests aged 19 and above. From January to July 16 and from September to December, there are 3 sessions each, and the last session is also adult-only.These specific dates come from the OTA, not a permanent commitment from Lotte FAQ; the official past guidance also explicitly states that peak-season dates may change by year. So when booking in summer, always treat “whether your dates require the Pool Package” as something to check before paying—not something to ask after you arrive.

Your itineraryThe pool in the photosThe pool in the actual accommodation
Leave at 09:00, return to the room at 22:00Very appealingAlmost no overlap; it shouldn’t be a main reason to buy
Back to the hotel in the afternoon 16:00–19:00AppealingThere’s a chance you’ll truly use it, but in summer you still need to check the Pool Package/sessions
Family with kids, children who go to bed earlyLooks greatThe final session for adults only has no value for families
Second trip to Busan, weekends with a slow paceAppealingIf you were already planning to stay on-site, the Shared Experience is much more likely to happen

“Going through” isn’t the same as “using”: the easiest place for Lifestyle Hotel to be overestimated

Walking from the Lobby to the elevator only counts as passing through; only when you truly sit down, work, swim, have breakfast, do laundry, or exercise does it count as using. The official room-outside facilities currently listed for L7 Haeundae include the 19th-floor Rooftop Pool and Poolside Lounge, the 5th-floor Energy Studio, the 5th-floor Laundry Room, and the Business Center inside the 3rd-floor unattended luggage lockers and the Cocoon Lounge. Energy Studio is not staffed from 06:00 to 22:00. Laundry Room has 3 washing machines and 3 dryers; in the official FAQ, laundry and drying are currently KRW 5,000 each, with detergent and fabric softener each at KRW 1,000.

These facilities may be useful for travelers who visit multiple cities, stay long-term, or need to handle work in the afternoon, but don’t automatically translate the photos into “Coworking Hotel.” The official has only clearly confirmed that the residents’ Business Center in the Cocoon Lounge has 2 PCs, and printing costs extra; there isn’t enough information to describe the entire space as a professional shared office. For Remote Workers, this is a handy add-on, not a selling point you can simply add in by imagination.

The difference for a friends’ trip often shows up after “everyone still doesn’t want to sleep”

After three or four friends get back to the hotel, if they still want to sit a bit, the most awkward option is usually to pack everyone into one room. The value outside the room for products like L7 may actually be more practical at that moment than “the Lobby is nice”: some go to the pool, some do laundry, some go to the dining spaces, or everyone meets up again somewhere in the hotel. That’s the value of a meeting point outside the room .

But this judgment also has a boundary. If you schedule your nightlife every day on Haeundae Street and your return to the hotel is already close to bedtime, the hotel’s shared spaces won’t automatically become more valuable just because it’s a “group trip.” More people only means it’s more likely you’ll need a meeting point outside the room; it doesn’t mean you’ll definitely use it.

The room itself must pass on its own; otherwise, Shared Experience is just a reason to justify the price

LOTTE’s official listing currently places Standard on floors 4–9, Superior on floors 10–19. Views are divided into Town, Town Ocean, Side Ocean, and Ocean. The official FAQ also clearly states that a full Ocean View is currently available only on specific Junior Suite Ondol rooms. This is an important line to check before you pay: seeing the character “Ocean” doesn’t mean every room category is guaranteed to be a positive Ocean view.

Room directionView / FloorBed and check-inRoom Gate
Standard QueenTown|4–9FDouble|2 people|approx. 23–27㎡If two people just want a clean, fresh room in a good location, start by checking whether this basic room is already enough.
Standard KingTown / Side Ocean|4–9FDouble|2 people|approx. 25–30㎡Side Ocean is a view upgrade—don’t treat it as Full Ocean
Standard Family TwinTown / Side Ocean|4–9FDouble + Single|3 people|approx. 27–30㎡For friends / a party of three with a family, first confirm that the official bed setup has already been resolved
Superior Family TwinTown / Town Ocean / Side Ocean|10–19FDouble + Single|Sleeps 3|Approx. 25–30㎡The official currently classifies Town Ocean and Side Ocean as View upgrades relative to Town.
Junior Suite Family Twin Ocean View (Ondol)Ocean|Approx. 4–18FDouble + Single|Sleeps 3|Approx. 36㎡To access this tier, you need a full Ocean View. First, confirm that you truly will use the view from inside the room.

Room type names may appear differently on OTAs—for example, “Town View/City View,” “No View,” “Side Ocean,” etc. So when comparing prices, keep everything the same: same date, same number of guests, same bed type, same view, same breakfast, and same cancellation terms. Booking also splits breakfast, cancellation, and whether it’s prepaid into different rate plans. Don’t compare only a single total price shown on the homepage.

For couples, solo travelers, families, and first-time visitors to Busan—the answer won’t be the same.

For couples:If you still want to drink, go for a swim, and take it slow at the property at night, L7’s Shared Experience is more likely to work than a purely sleep-focused hotel. But if your evenings—dinner, bars, and walks—are always outside, the value of the public facilities will get eaten up by your external itinerary.

For solo travelers:If you don’t want to be stuck in the room all night, and you need laundry, exercise, or to handle work, the functions outside your room will be more useful. But for solo trips with early starts and late returns, the answer still might be “you don’t need it.”

For families:Don’t judge only by pool photos. The last adult-only section, the summer Pool Package, and kids’ early bedtime can directly cut pool usage. Family Twin can handle proper sleeping arrangements for three people—that’s another independent value. Don’t mix these two things together.

For a first trip to Busan:You’ll usually have more densely packed sights and more cross-area movement. The most common regret isn’t that the hotel is bad—it’s finding after check-in that all your favorite photos are of places you simply don’t have time to go. On a second Busan trip, a short weekend, or if you already planned to stay relaxed, the Lifestyle part of L7 is more likely to be used.

Breakfast only matters when you’re willing to leave your morning for the hotel.

Floating is on the 2nd floor. The official breakfast hours are currently 07:00–10:00. Current posted adult price is KRW 30,000 and child price is KRW 22,000, and the price includes a 10% tax. Children are defined as from 49 months up to 12 years old. You don’t need to ask the generic question of whether “breakfast is worth it.” Instead, ask:Will it carry the slow-stay experience you want through to the next morning?

If you already planned to finish your meal slowly before heading out, breakfast will extend the Shared Experience from the evening into the morning. If you need to wake up and go straight to the market, a café, or sights across areas, breakfast is just another in-house option you won’t end up using. OTA breakfast inclusion varies by the exact rate plan. Before paying, check the package details. Don’t treat a restaurant’s existence as the same thing as “the room price includes breakfast.”

The location is good enough, but it can only be a Supporting Factor.

LOTTE’s official site says Haeundae Beach is about a 3-minute walk. From Subway Line 2 Haeundae Station, Exits 3/5/7 toward the beach, it says about 10 minutes. Booking currently lists it as about 200 meters from the beach and about 600 meters from Haeundae Station. This proves the location is genuinely useful—but it’s not the main focus of this article. If all you need is a beach-close stay, a walkable subway, and a comfortable room at night, you should still compare by returning to the Haeundae Hotel Money Page for more purely accommodation-oriented options, rather than using location to defend every Lifestyle Premium.

If you only need a comfortable room, go back to the Haeundae Hotel recommendation for more purely accommodation-oriented options.

Do the “shut the room door” test one last time.

Imagine you’ve already entered the room. Now close the door. The Rooftop Pool, Floating, Energy Studio, Laundry, and all public areas disappear. What remains is only the Room, Bathroom, View, Location, and Price.

After closing the door, do you still feel this room and location are worth this price? If Yes, L7 already has at least the value of the room itself. Now open the door again: will you genuinely go to the pool, have breakfast, work out, do laundry, or stay on-site? Those are the extra returns.

If it feels ordinary once you close the door, and the facilities don’t end up being usable because you don’t have time after opening it, don’t look for reasons to justify the price just because the photos look nice. The truly worthwhile situation at L7 Haeundae isn’t that the public spaces look good. It’s that after you close your room door and open it again, there are things you’ll actually use.
