Here we compare “one room.” If, for 3 people and above, you book two Studio rooms on Urbanstay, that’s a different cost issue—“two-room vs one multi-guest room”—and shouldn’t be swapped to the original “one-room Hotel-vs-Hotel” comparison.

Urbanstay Seomyeon Studio: the real in-room space
Urbanstay Seomyeon: the real in-room space. As of now, the official Studio Single supports up to 1 person; Studio Random, Studio, Studio City, and Studio Twin support up to 2 people, and most of the main room types are one-room Studios.

Urbanstay clearly states the above Studios as layouts that combine a Kitchen, Bathroom, and Living Area / Bedroom. SOTA’s current website lists Standard Queen and Deluxe Queen as Max 2; Club SOTA Queen is Max 3, Club SOTA Twin Max 4, and Club SOTA Family Max 6. The real dividing line isn’t “which one looks more like a Residence,” but whether the product can extend upward with the Guest Count.

After your friend said “I’m going too,” yesterday’s double-occupancy price table should be considered void

2 Adults

Urbanstay Studio and SOTA Standard / Deluxe are both valid—worth comparing the layout, service model, and the total price for the same date.

3 Adults

The main Studio Single exits first in the current lineup; SOTA’s Club Queen stays because Max 3, but what the 3rd person truly sleeps on still needs confirmation.

That’s it. Guest-count Cliff: 2 → 3 isn’t just a smooth increase by one extra Guest Fee—it can also involve Room disappears, Hotel disappears, Room category jumps, Bedding changes, and a full Total price re-computation.

With only two people, set the entire advantage of “SOTA can accommodate more guests” to zero

With only 2 people, how many guests Club SOTA Family can hold isn’t directly useful to you. For a fair comparison, reset: Urbanstay Studio / City / Twin vs SOTA Standard / Deluxe. Only if you clearly need a second activity space should you bring Club SOTA Queen into the comparison.

SOTA SUITE Busan Seomyeon: the real Queen room
SOTA SUITE real Queen room. For stays of 2 people, confirm whether the Standard/Deluxe requirements have already been met; you shouldn’t automatically add points just because the hotel offers products for 4 or 6 people.

Two people keep the same schedule.

Going back to the room together, sleeping together, and not working inside the room—one-room Studio may not be a drawback, so Urbanstay should keep getting price-checked.

Two people have different schedules.

One person goes to bed early, one has meetings, watches videos, or sorts luggage—only then does the SOTA Club-level room layout truly justify an upgrade.

SOTA SUITE Busan Seomyeon real, separate living area.
SOTA SUITE real living area. Earlier product info described Club Queen/Twin as 1 Bedroom + 1 Living Room; the second space is only valuable when the two people really will separate their activities.

Split the Layout Fact and Capacity Fact.Earlier SOTA/ONDA room-type data can still be used to verify that Club Queen/Twin is one room plus a living room, and that Family is two rooms plus a living room; but the old check-in occupancy limit is behind the latest official website. For Current Occupancy, use the current SOTA Room List.

For 3 people and 4 people, the biggest risk isn’t which room you pick—it’s where the remaining person will sleep.

On SOTA’s official website right now: Club Queen Base 2 / Max 3, Club Twin Base 2 / Max 4. This only proves legal capacity; it doesn’t prove there were originally 3 or 4 beds in the room.

the booking page currently lists Club Queen as 1 Queen Bed, Max 3, and states that if you exceed Base Occupancy they charge an additional person fee and that it includes Bedding. It also lists Extra Bedding as reservable, while clearly stating Extra beds are not available. the booking page also says you can reserve Extra Bedding for an additional fee, but on the same page it says Cots / Extra Beds are not provided—and the current Bedding amounts on the two platforms are not exactly the same.

So you can only confirm:Max 3/4 holds; for the 3rd/4th person, the Bedding type, placement, and whether it’s included in the Rate Plan you selected still need to be verified before payment.Don’t translate Extra Bedding yourself as Sofa Bed, Rollaway Bed, or Floor Futon.

SOTA SUITE real bed zone, laundry machine, and microwave area in the room.
SOTA SUITE real in-room equipment photos. The room is big and there are many amenities—but it can’t replace Bedding Verification. Especially for 4 people, don’t look only at Max Occupancy.

For stays of 5–6 people, the situation changes again: SOTA’s official website now lists Club SOTA Family as Max 6; earlier product info said 2 Queen Beds, 2 Bedrooms + Living Room, but at that time Max was still 4. This step should be Product Matching in the order of “official room name on the website → sellable room name on Booking/the booking page/the booking page → Main Beds → Extra Bedding → Total,” not continuing to force Urbanstay vs SOTA.

A good comparison doesn’t always need to go all the way to the final round.

For 3 people or more: if Urbanstay still doesn’t have a legal single-room product on the day, this “one room, choose between two options” decision stops right here.Next, choose a legal multi-person room from SOTA, or go backto the West (Seomyeon) hotel recommendation.Reopen the multi-person room shortlist. Candidate disappearance isn’t a lack of comparison—it means the Hard Constraint filter is already done.

Contactless and the washing machine are pretty similar—there’s no need to repeatedly add points for that shared advantage.

Urbanstay’s official statement says all branches use Contactless Check-in, and the Seomyeon branch has no traditional Front Desk; SOTA’s official Guide also uses Contactless Check-in/out, but when you run into certain issues it still guides guests to find the Front Desk, KakaoTalk, or call. Same label doesn’t mean the same Support Boundary.

Laundry isn’t the deciding factor either. SOTA’s official Guide includes instructions for using the in-room Washing Machine; Urbanstay Seomyeon also has Residence appliances. Once both sides meet your laundry needs, delete this difference.

What can truly end the comparison early is, instead, Cooking.

SOTA’s current official Guest Guide explicitly states it in the guest room. Cooking prohibited. Urbanstay Seomyeon’s official Kitchen Appliances Guide lists the Induction, cookware, tableware, and Microwave, and limits meat and fish dishes that produce a lot of oil smoke.

If legal, simple cooking inside the room is a Hard Constraint, this item has the right to override room size, the lounge, breakfast, and some price differences. Residence, the Kitchen icon, and the Microwave must not be translated on your own into “you can cook.”

Only at this point should you open Booking, the booking page, and the booking page.

For 1–2 people + Studio, that’s enough: then compare Urbanstay.

Enter the real Adults/Children/Dates, then compare Studio/City/Twin for refunds and the total price including tax.

For 3+ people, or for 2 people who need separate areas: then compare SOTA.

For 3 people or more, enter the complete guest count. For 4 people, first verify everything together: the Main Beds, Extra Bedding, the extra person fee, and Cancellation.

This one doesn’t qualify as a permanent Price Winner. If it’s not the same dates, same number of guests, same cancellation conditions, and same bed requirements, the lowest price isn’t a meaningful comparison.

Remove the third person, then add them back.

Go back to 2 Adults first:Leave both rooms. Ask yourself: if it’s only the two of us, do I need to pay for the extra partitioned space in SOTA? If not, let Urbanstay Studio continue the price comparison. If someone goes to bed early and someone still wants to stay active, the Club-level layout is what justifies the value.

Now add the third person back again:If Urbanstay’s current single room disappears from legal candidates, there’s no need to save it. Your question has shifted from “Urbanstay or SOTA” to “Which SOTA 3-person room, or which other Western-facing three-person hotels.”

The easiest way to compare these two incorrectly is to treat the number of people traveling as if it were a price column. The 3rd person isn’t just an additional room charge—they may directly turn the whole two-options decision into a different room-type problem.
